the sustainable solutions network (SSN)...
is a formal network that laterally connects Singapore’s environmental stakeholders across the sectors of private businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the public sector, and educational institutions - with the aim of increasing and supporting collaborative action. Launched by students from I'dECO: the Yale-NUS Sustainability Movement, and a group of environmental partners including Green Drinks Singapore, Earthfest, #LepakInSG, the network consists of annual flagship conferences and the Sustainable Solutions Portal, an online networking platform. The SSN is endorsed by Yale-NUS College and the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU)’s Global University Climate Forum, with advising support from the Yale-NUS Environmental Studies department.
Through these platforms, the network aims to promote interaction and provide opportunities for participants to share their challenges, brainstorm innovative solutions, and seek partners in collaborative projects.
The inaugural conference took place on 20 August 2016 at Yale-NUS College. The Sustainable Solutions Portal was launched at the inaugural conference.
