GOALS

We aim to reduce food wastage and bring fresh produce to the less fortunate.

 

PROJECT 1: The Fresh Food Truck

Volunteers will collect "ugly" but still good to eat fruits and vegetables to be given out to low-income households. We aim to change consumers' mindset to encourage eating 'ugly' produce so that suppliers/distributors will not have to go through aesthetic filtering as it produces food waste.

Expected Impact: Over the course of 1 year, we aim to collect and redistribute 110 tons of ugly but still good to eat fruits and vegetables,

Partners: Khoo Chwee Neo Foundation and Electrolux

PROJECT 2: Educational talks and roadshows

We aim to educate and raise awareness about food wastage issues in Singapore.

Start Date: 1 Jan 2018

End Date: 31 Dec 2018

Status: In progress

Expected Impact: Educational outreach to 10,000 people through corporate lunch talks, school talks and roadshows
