Led by a small volunteer management team, TeamSeagrass currently has about 200 volunteers from all walks of life that regularly monitor the seagrasses on Singapore's shores. Started in 2007, TeamSeagrass is a collaboration with the National Biodiversity Centre of the National Parks Board and international Seagrass-Watch, the largest scientific, non-destructive, seagrass assessment and monitoring program in the world. The team contributes to the understanding of the world's seagrasses as indicators of marine ecosystem health.
Team Seagrass organises regular excursions to examine seagrass health at its survey sites. For further information on how to be involved and to sign up for their mailing list, please visit http://teamseagrass.blogspot.sg/p/faqs.html.
